United House wins contract with Thrive Homes

Leading housing contractor and developer, United House has been selected to refurbish over 3,000 homes for housing association, Thrive Homes in Ricksmansworth, Herts. The project, with a value of £18.4m will see the transformation of homes for local residents.
Due to previous under-investment, the introduction of the Decent Homes Standard, has given an opportunity to improve the lives of the residents living in the properties. The refurbishment includes an upgrade of the communal areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, re-wiring the buildings and general maintenance.
United House’s strong background in development, regeneration and refurbishment has been recognised by Thrive Homes’ decision to award them this work. This means United House is Thrive Homes’ sole Decent Homes delivery partner following the Large Scale Voluntary Transfer (LSVT) in Rickmansworth.
The refurbishment of the site is due to commence in August 2008. The expected completion date of the entire project is April 2011.
