Leading housing contractor and developer United House Group has recently acquired additional office space at Media House, Swanley, Kent, to accommodate the company's rapidly expanding business and support the firm's recruitment drive.
The new United House office is situated in the heart of Swanley, adjacent to Swanley Rail Station. The purchase will provide United House with an additional 25,000ft of office space, comprising state of the art meeting rooms and will accommodate 45 United House employees.
United House have recently been appointed by Kent County Council as contractor for the Kent PFI project building six new build care homes. The expanded construction team for these projects will be based at the new office.
Jeffrey Adams, Chief Executive of United House commenting said, 'The proximity to Swanley Rail station was a key decision in choosing the office space. Corporate responsibility and sustainability mean a lot to me and the business. Both staff and visitors will be able to minimise car usage which is important as we strive to become more eco-efficient. Furthermore it provides a good central location for our operational areas of London and the South East.'
United House has undergone significant expansion over the past 12 months. An extensive programme of new build for both the private and public sectors has contributed to an annual turnover of £104 million and resulted in 90 new members of staff joining the company since this time last year.
Julie Lenihan, HR Manager at United House said, 'Our expansion is a result of the growing business and the amount of work we are receiving. That is a great testament to our staff who work hard to build our reputation in the industry and consistently produce excellent work. We are currently looking for skilled construction professionals and this will provide increased employment opportunities for local people.'
