Department: Heating Maintenance
Location: On various sites
Reporting to: Gas Service Manager
Hours: 8.00 am - 5.30 pm Monday to Friday with one hour for lunch or such hours that are necessary for the proper performance of his duties.
You will also be asked to participate in the emergency call-out rota system.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Carry out service, repair, commissioning or maintenance work to heating/plumbing systems.
SPECIFIC DUTIES- Attend service calls as directed by the Gas Service Supervisor/Customer Service Supervisor.
- Ensure sufficient spares are carried in company vehicle together with the necessary tools and equipment, to avoid call-backs.
- Keep up-to-date with technical developments on heating/plumbing equipment such as boilers and attend training courses when asked to do so by the Company.
- Complete a report for every service visit and return it to the Customer Service Supervisor.
- Be available at all times via a mobile telephone during normal working hours.
- Work additional hours where necessary to complete a job, including your participating in the Out of Hours call Rota.
- Commission and set to work heating systems installed by the Company when required.
- Completion of all relevant commissioning or test documentation sheets and certificates and ensure that all systems are left in a safe and secure condition.
- Give verbal instruction on use of Heating Systems and ancillary items to building occupiers and ensure they have appropriate printed instructions.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
Candidates must have:- ACS or equivalent in all relevant Gas elements.
- Minimum of 2 years Breakdown and servicing experience.
- A clean driving licence.
- Good communication skills.
- The ability to work on own initiative without supervision.
Candidates are preferred who have:- The ability to solve problems as they arise.
- Enthusiasm for their work.
- Good all round team player.
